Smartie Goodie Bag Cookies

225g butter, at room temperature
110g caster sugar
275g plain flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
250g icing sugar
few drops of water
yellow food colouring
red food colouring
100g plain chocolate

Preheat the oven to 170.

Whisk the butter until soft, add sugar and whisk again until light and fluffy.

Add vanilla extract.

Sift in the flour and combine until mixture forms a dough.

Cover with clingfilm and put into the fridge for 30 minutes.

Roll out and cut into shape of bag.

Place on lightly floured baking tray and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Cool completely.

Combine icing sugar with a couple of drops of cold water and food colourings.

Spoon icing onto cookie and stick smarties on top of icing.

Leave to set for about 15 minutes

Meanwhile, melt the chocolate in a bowl over a saucepan of hot water.

Pipe chocolate onto cookie, drawing outline of bag and handle. Write trick or treat onto cookie with chocolate.

Eat up and enjoy!
