Teriyaki salmon
Teriyaki fish with Japanese seasoning are an ideal way to serve fish to kids, this recipe is simple and loaded with omega 3.
 

2 tbsp low-salt soy sauce

1 tbsp clear honey

1 garlic clove, finely chopped

1 tbsp mirin (optional and found in Asian section of larger supermarkets or Asian markets)

A little sunflower oil

300g Tenderstem broccoli

4 x 100g salmon fillets

1 small piece of ginger, cut into matchsticks

Sesame oil (optional)

Sliced spring onions, toasted sesame seeds and cooked rice, to serve

Preheat the oven to 200°C / 400°F / Gas mark 6.

Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper and set aside.

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy, honey, garlic and mirin (if using) and set aside.

Spoon the sauce over each salmon fillet and drizzle with a little sesame oil, if you like.

Cook in the oven for 15-20 minutes.

Serve with spring onions scattered over, steamed Tenderstem broccoli and some rice on the side.
