White chocolate squares

White chocolate squares
Lovely moist white chocolate bites which are perfect for parties.

250g butter

300g self-raising flour

250g caster sugar

½ tsp baking powder

4 eggs

3 tbsp milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

100g white chocolate, chopped

Icing

100g white chocolate, melted

300g cream cheese

100g icing sugar

Chocolate sweets to decorate

Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4.

Grease and line a 20cm square tin.

Cream the butter and caster sugar.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating between each addition.

Sift in the flour and baking powder.

Stir in the milk, vanilla extract and chopped white chocolate.

Transfer to prepared cake tin and bake for about 30 minutes.

To make the icing: mix the cream cheese, melted white chocolate and icing sugar.

Leave to chill in the fridge until spreadable.

Spread the icing over the top of the cake and decorate with chocolate sweets.

Slice into small squares and serve.
