Will you become the guardian of a childhood?

It has been long recognised that homelessness is about loss and for children the loss of a home is much more acute. For a child it isn’t just the loss of a house - it’s the loss of friends, school, a place to do homework, a place to play, a place where they feel safe.

Many families who are homeless are faced with long journeys in order to get children to school and this often results in the children missing many days. In the longer-term, this means missing out on vital parts of their education, which can lead to them dropping out of school early and ending up homeless as adults.

Your support allows Focus Ireland to provide a trained childcare team to run homework clubs, afterschool activities and childcare facilities for children who are homeless and need help. By becoming the guardian of a childhood you are helping to protect vulnerable children and allowing them build their future lives.

The most helpful way that you can support Focus Ireland is by becoming a regular donor. Just €10 a month will help the charity provide a place of safety and stability for a child who is homeless.
