From dancing to kick-boxing, mums-to-be are always putting their own spin on exercising while pregnant, and Lizzy Tomber’s approach is certainly unique.

Lizzy has caused a bit of a stir online, after sharing photos of herself practicing ‘acroyoga’ – a mixture of yoga and acrobatics – during her pregnancy.

Lizzy and her husband, Josh, have been involved in acrobatics for years, and they decided to tweak their routines to allow them to keep practicing ahead of becoming parents for the first time.

As you can see above, the poses are not for the faint-hearted, but Lizzy told Babycentre that she was ‘super happy’ to share her experience and journey with the online world. She and Josh welcomed their gorgeous tot, baby David, two weeks ago.

As you can imagine, the couple's photos have been getting plenty of attention online, with some questioning whether or not acroyoga is safe for a baby, and even suggesting that it could be ‘dangerous’.

Lizzy has responded: “There are some things, like big pop moves, where Josh catches my hips with his feet, that we realised, ‘Ok, not going to do that anymore’, no more catching on my belly or hips…but we modified things so I could still take part. My doctor said, ‘You should do what feels healthy, safe and good for you.’”

What do you think of Lizzy’s photos?
