Sirloin steak over fettuccine Alfredo
Classic flavours make this creamy delight served with thin slices of sirloin steak.
 

250g fresh fettuccine

2 tbsp unsalted butter

2 tbsp plain flour

100g light crème fraiche

1 tsp salt

¼ tsp ground nutmeg

340g stir fry sirloin

¼ tsp black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

50g parmesan cheese, grated

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to boil over high heat.

Cook pasta following package directions then drain and return to pasta pot.

Melt the butter in medium-size saucepan over medium heat.

Whisk in the flour, then slowly whisk in the crème fraiche.

Season with the salt the nutmeg.

Bring just to boiling, stirring frequently.

Season the sirloin with ¼ teaspoon salt and pepper.

Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.

Add the steak and cook 3 minutes.

Remove the sauce from heat and whisk in parmesan.

Turn steak and cook another 3 minutes or until desired doneness.

Pour the sauce over the pasta and toss to combine.

Transfer to a platter then add the sirloin over top and serve.
