Warm berry compote

Easy berry compote for something nice in a flash.
Knob of butter
2 tbsp caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
200g raspberries
200g blueberries
Vanilla ice cream, to serve
In a small pan over a low heat, melt the butter.
Stir in the sugar and vanilla extract, then cook until the sugar melts, stirring.
Toss in the raspberries and blueberries.
Give them a good mix to coat then cook for 2-3 minutes until the fruit starts to soften.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
