A healthy dish that can be served as a starter or a snack. A delicious and healthy alternative to take away food.

400 grams of Pork Mince

4 large iceberg lettuce leaves

100 grams of dried rice noodles

1 large clove of garlic finely chopped

3-4 tsps of ginger finely chopped

1 Carrot

Handful of peanuts

2 large handfuls of bean sprouts

1 tbs of oyster sauce

1 tbs of dark soy sauce

2 tbs of light soy sauce

2 tsp of white wine

1 tsp of corn flour mixed with a small drop of water

1 tsp of sesame oil

1 tbs of Olive oil

Sugar and salt

Boil the pork mince in a sauce pan of boiling water for 20 minutes and then drain

Break the dried rice noodles in half and cook for 10 minutes in a saucepan of boiling water

Heat the olive oil in a wok

Sauté the garlic and ginger for 1 – 2 minutes

Add the pork mince to the wok and cook for 3 – 4 minutes mixing it into the ginger and garlic

Add the bean sprouts to the wok and cook for 3 – 4 minutes mixing all of the ingredients

Add the oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, white wine, corn flour mixture and finally the sesame oil, stirring each in individually.

Then add a pinch of sugar and salt

Finally on low heat, stir in the dried rice noodles for 1 minute

Wash the lettuce leaves and pour ¼ of the mixture into each leaf cup.

Garnish with grated carrot and peanuts (optional)

Close the leaves over like a parcel to eat.
