So today I am 28 weeks – hurray! I really didn't think we would get this far when I was admitted to hospital with absent flow on Baby One on 3rd July. The chances for the three little babies have increased significantly now I have reached Week 28.

I had my growth scan today and Baby One is certainly a little fighter and has grown the most out of the three of them! Baby One is 2lb, Baby Two is 2lb 1 and Baby Three is 2lb 6. I had really hoped that they would get to 2lb this week but wondered if I was asking too much of them. Obviously I wasn't, so we are delighted.

I have my next scan in a few days and if everything is okay the consultant will let me out for night release! She let me out Friday night and Sunday night last week for 'good behaviour' (only joking) so that was so nice.

My brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew were staying so it was so lovely to see them at home instead of in hospital. On Sunday I went out with my husband for dinner. We took the scenic route as I have been looking up at the Dublin Mountains out my hospital window since I was here wishing I could be up there (ideally walking or cycling) so we took a drive to feel a bit 'normal'.

Another great thing I have been doing while stuck in hospital is using the Tesco shopping delivery service. I did an order last week for our visitors arriving and did another one for my mum coming to stay. It is so good to be able to help out even though I am stuck in hospital and I also wanted to get familiar with it for when the babies are here as it’ll be so difficult to get out to the shops.

The cleaners were back in the house again today for their second week so that is working out well too. They clean and do a bit of ironing too. It is so great to get the jobs done by someone else so that when I am home with the babies, my husband and I can focus on caring for these little babies.

My mum arrives today for a few days with all the 'hand me downs' from family and friends so that is exciting. My brother helped my husband put up the blackout blind, curtain rail and mirror in the nursery at the weekend so we are getting there. Also the Maxi-Cosi car seats are arriving this week so we are starting to get ready for the triplets’ imminent arrival. Just need to order the buggy and a chest of drawers now and then we are almost done!

One of the girls I made good friends with in hospital ended up going into labour very quickly on Monday night and had her baby girl at 31 weeks and 5 days. Great for her, but I was sad to see her leave our room as you get attached to people in the ward as the days go by. It also made me realise that we really need to decide on names for our babies.

We have more or less decided on three boys names and three girls names (first and middle names) so we have something to choose from when we meet these little babies. I was having a laugh with all the midwives one day and they were all guessing whether they are boys or girls. I think the consensus is two boys (the identical twins obviously) and a girl. Only time will tell.

I have to say the time is going quite quickly in The Coombe Residency. The midwives here are just amazing and are looking after us so well; the consultant who minding me while my consultant is away on holiday is also really lovely. Oh and a special mention for my husband, who is looking after me by visiting me lots and bringing fresh clothes, smiles and hugs, which definitely keeps me going.

I can't wait for the day I get to be home for good with him again. I feel so blessed, not only to be pregnant with three miracles but also to be looked after so well.
