Chicken sweetcorn pie

A delicious chicken and sweetcorn pie recipe the kids will love and so simple to make.
450g chicken fillets (or cold leftover chicken)
200g tinned sweetcorn, drained
For the sauce
1 ltr whole milk
50g butter
50g plain flour
1 shortcrust pastry sheet
Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F / Gas mark 4.
Line a pie dish with the short crust pastry sheet leaving an overhang over the sides.
Cut the cooked chicken into bite size pieces and add the sweetcorn over the pastry.
Place all the sauce ingredients into a saucepan and cook until it thickens then lower the heat and whisk for another 2 minutes.
Pour your filling over the top of the chicken and corn and stir gently to coat.
Fold over the overhang to create a lid of pastry and bake for 30 minutes until golden.
Serve with any green vegetables preferred.
