Chocolate krispie bars

Chocolate krispie bars

100g butter

40g honey

1 tbs caster sugar

150g of rice krispies

200g chocolate

Cook the butter, honey and sugar in a saucepan over a medium heat – stirring frequently

Once the sugar has dissolved boil the mixture for about five minutes, stirring all of the time.

Next remove the saucepan from heat and add the rice krispies, coating them thoroughly.

Empty the mixture into the tin and press down using the back of a spoon.

Break the chocolate into pieces and melt in the microwave or in a bowl over a saucepan of water.  When it's melted, spread it over cereal mixture in the tin.

Allow to cool and set. 

When fully set, cut into 2" x 1" bars.
