Citrus cordial

Citrus cordial

1 litre of water
Ikg caster sugar
4 lemons
4 oranges
2 tsp citric acid (availale from chemist)

Slice of orange, lemon and mint (optional)

Heat the water and sugar  until all of the sugar has been dissolved.

Simmer for a few minutes and take off the heat.

Add the juice of the oranges and lemons and citric acid. Allow to cool fully. 

Serve with thin slices of orange, lemon and mint if using. 

It can store in the fridge for up to a week if it lasts that long.
