Kids will love the messiness of making these bites.
500g fresh fish, bones removed
50g plain flour
2 eggs, lightly beaten
30g breadcrumbs
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 lemons, finely grated
55g vegetable oil
Pour the flour and eggs into two separate bowls. In a third bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and lemon rind.
Cut the fish into bite sizes before dipping into the flour, then the egg and finally the breadcrumbs.
Heat the oil in a frying pan on a high heat.
Cook the fish bites for 8 minutes, turning half way until golden brown.
