Gluten-free chocolate biscuit cake
175g butter
2 tbsp golden syrup
250g milk, good quality chocolate
350g gluten-free digestive biscuits
85g (3oz) Chopped roasted hazelnuts
Grease a 9 inch cake tin with butter
Grease a 9 inch cake tin with butter
Melt the butter, chocolate and golden syrup in the microwave.
Stir until smooth.
Crush the biscuits with a rolling pin, leaving some large chunks interspersed with the biscuit crumbs.
Tip in the melted chocolate mixture with the hazelnuts and combine well.
Transfer the mixture into the tin, pressing it down evenly with the back of a spoon.
Place in the fridge and cut into squares when ready to serve.
