A tasty side for Christmas
300ml cream
300ml milk
1 garlic clove, crushed
1.5kg Rooster potatoes
Knob of butter
Preheat the oven to 150°C.
Heat the cream & milk with the garlic & season with salt & pepper.
Peel & thinly slice the potatoes.
Stir into the cream mixture & simmer for about 5 mins, gently stirring occasionally.
Butter an ovenproof dish, then tip in the potato mixture.
Bake for 1 hour until golden brown.
Leave for 5 mins, then garnish with thyme leaves, if preferred.
