Green bean bake
This twist on the American classic is a simple way to spruce up a 'turkey and ham leftovers' dinner when you can't eat anymore sprouts.

2 tbsp of butter

2 tbsp of flour

1 tsp salt

1 large onion, diced

250g sour cream

450g frozen green beans (room temperature)
150g button mushroons, sliced

200g grated cheddar

80g breadcrumbs

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

In a large frying pan, melt the butter over a medium heat and stir in the flour to make a roux.

Add in the salt, onion and sour cream and stir briskly for 2 minutes. Stir in the green beans and mushrooms until thoroughly coated.

Transfer the bean mixture to an oven dish. Mix the breadcrumbs and grated cheddar together and sprinkle evenly over the beans.

Cook in the oven for 30 minutes or until the top is golden.
