Little mini burgers done for the family in this easy no fuss Italian inspired way.
500g lean minced beef
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
2 tbsp basil leaves
1 slice stale bread, blitzed into breadcrumbs
8 small buns
2 cheese slices, quartered
A little mayonnaise
Some lettuce leaves
In a bowl mix together, minced, ketchup, basil and breadcrumbs.
Divide mixture into 8 and roll into balls.
Fry the meatballs in a little olive oil.
Cook over low heat to ensure they are cooked through.
Assemble the burgers with the various toppings everyone enjoys and serve with salad if you like.
