Lamb lasagne

Lamb lasagne
This lasagne recipe is really quick and won’t require the use of your entire pots and pan collection.
 

500g minced lamb

410g crushed tomatoes

600g passata

2 tbsp olive oil

1 onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, crushed

750ml water

5 lasagne sheets, broken in pieces

1 lasagne sheet, not broken

250g mozarella cheese

Salt and pepper

Preheat the oven to 200C or gas mark 5.

Heat the olive oil in a pan over a medium heat and fry onions.

Add the lamb to the pan until brown.

Add the garlic, herbs, salt and pepper, tomatoes, passata and water. Stir well and bring to the boil.

Add the lasagne sheets and stir well, cover and cook over a medium heat for 15 minutes.

Spoon the lasagne mixture into an ovenproof dish. Layer the unbroken lasagne sheet on top. 

Heap the mozzarella cheese on top of the mixture and place in the oven for 15 minutes until the cheese is golden.

Serve hot.
