Lemon green beans

The lemon gives a delicious tangy flavour making the green beans ideal for Sunday afternoon.
300g green beans
1 tsp butter
2 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper, to season
Handful chopped almonds to serve
Cook the green beans in a pot of boiling water. Reduce the temperature and allow to simmer for 15 minutes until soft.
Drain off the excess water and add the butter. Allow to melt ensuring it coats all the beans. Leave to cook for about 1 minute before adding the lemon juice.
Season with salt and pepper.
Toss together to ensure it is fully coated. Garnish with the chopped almonds.
Allow to cool before serving.
