Mini apple galettes with caramel sauce

Mini apple galettes with caramel sauce
Delicious little treats which are the perfect way to end a meal.

1 can of Jus-Rol Bake-It-Fresh Croissants.

4 small red apples, sliced thinly

3 tbsp caster sugar

1 egg, beaten

4 tbsp butter

90g brown sugar

60ml double cream

Pinch of salt

Preheat oven to 200°C/400°C/Gas 6.

Unroll 1 can of Jus-Rol Bake-It-Fresh Croissants.

Cut out circles from the dough using a cookie cutter or round lid.

Arrange the sliced apple in the centre of the pastry circle, then fold in the pastry around the edges.

Brush the pastry with the beaten egg and sprinkle caster sugar over the apples.

Transfer to the preheated oven and bake for about 15 minutes.

To make the caramel sauce place the butter and brown sugar in a heatproof bowl and microwave for 1 minute or until melted.

Mix in the cream and salt.

Leave the mini galettes to cool and firm up slightly on a wire rack before serving with a drizzle of the caramel sauce.
