Pan-fried bananas on French toast
This is a delicious way to serve French toast.

50ml whole milk

2 eggs

2 thick slices slightly stale bread

50g butter, plus 1 tsp for frying the bananas

1 banana sliced

1 tbsp icing sugar

Whisk together the milk and eggs in a bowl.

Dip the bread slices in the egg mix, making sure the liquid soaks into the bread on both sides.

While the bread is soaking up the egg mix, heat 1 tsp of butter in a frying pan on a medium heat.

Add the sliced bananas and cook for about 3 minutes. When cooked remove from the pan and set aside.

Add the rest of the butter to the pan. As soon as it is melted, fry the bread slices for about two minutes on each side. Remove from the pan and place onto a serving plate.

Top with the fried bananas and garnish with the icing sugar.
