This easy fruity tray bake will be a favourite with the kids and can be made with any berries you like.
200g caster sugar
375g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch salt
Pinch ground cinnamon
225g butter
1 egg
500g raspberries
100g caster sugar
3 tsp cornflour
Preheat the oven to 190°C / 375°F / Gas mark 5.
Grease a 20x30cm tin.
Combine 200g of the sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, butter and egg until crumbly.
Pat half of the dough into the prepared tin.
Combine the remaining 100g sugar, cornflour and berries.
Pour mixture over the base in the tin.
Crumble in the remaining dough over the top of the berries and bake for 45 minutes or until the top is slightly golden.
Allow to cool then slice into squares and serve.
