Fragrant saffron and basmati rice make for a perfect addition to a myriad of dinner party main courses.
300g basmati rice
Good pinch of saffron
600ml hot vegetable stock
Salt and pepper
Cumin seeds, optional
Cook the rice in the stock according to the instructions.
Drain and add the saffron.
Mix well, season with salt and pepper if necessary and serve with a few cumin seeds sprinkled if using.
