Spooky Smartie spiders

100g butter
50g caster sugar
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
150g self raising flour
Smarites (handful)
Pretzels or bread sticks (for the legs)

For the covering:
300g of milk or plain choclate
One pack of smarites
Choclate sprinkle

Set oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4

Put butter and sugar in large bowl and beat with wooden spoon until fluffy

Sift in the cocoa powder and flour and mix together. Add smarties.

Squeeze together the mixture until dough is stiff. Roll out individual circles (body). In each body stick in the legs (broken in half bread sticks or pretzels)

Place on a large baking sheet (non stick) and bake for 10 mins.

While cookies are baking/cooling, melt the choclate. Dip the cookie or spoon the melted chocolate over the cookies and sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles. Add the final touch smartie eyes - red or green or yellow. Cool in fridge and enjoy!
