Spooky Smarties cookies

115g brown sugar
115g butter
170g flour
100g smarties
15g golden syrup (or one tablespoon)
Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4.
Cream the butter and sugar together until light and creamy.
Mix in the golden syrup.
Next sieve the flour and mix into the butter mixture.
Spoon the mixture onto a lightly greased baking tray, leaving 4cm between each one.
Press some Smarties onto each biscuit
Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and leave to cool on the baking tray for 10 minutes before moving to a wire rack to cool fully.
