Spread the jam onto each ladyfinger and lay them in the bowl covering the bottom. Next slice the fruit onto the ladyfingers.
Drip some of your sherry (or brandy) on top to soften ladyfingers. You can also drip some juice from the fruit onto your layers for an extra soft base. You can omit the alcohol all together and just use fruit juice if you wish.
Spoon some custard onto the fruit. You now have one layer of trifle. Do as many layers as your ingredients allow: Three layers are common.
When your last layer is finished, top it off with Avonmore Freshly Whipped Cream & chocolate sprinkles. Place trifle in the fridge and let it sit for a few hours. Trifle is a great desert to make ahead of a party as it’s quick & easy to make and the longer it sits the better it tastes.
