With summer now in full swing, we understand that parents are looking for different ways to spend fun, quality time with the kids. Netflix has loads of great TV shows and movies that are perfect for entertaining the whole family, helping you make the most of your time together.

With terrific kids’ series like Horrid Henry, iCarly and Spongebob Squarepants, as well as brilliant family films such as Tangled, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Lilo & Stitch, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Netflix is available anywhere where there’s a Wi-Fi connection, and can be watched on numerous devices, including mobiles, tablets, smart TVs and games consoles. Visit our Netflix Kids page to see our top family picks, and read recommendations from other mums.

So, how are your family using Netflix this summer? Are your little ones winding down by watching their favourite show after a big day out? Are the grandparents and kids bonding over a shared love for Toy Story 3? Is Netflix providing some much-needed respite on a rainy day? What else has been keeping your children happy in the holidays? Whatever it is, we’d love to hear it.

I had been waiting for weeks for Orange is the new black to come back, and then when it did, I just never seemed to have time to set aside for one reason or another. When we went on holidays, I got to sign in to Netflix in the evening and catch. It was absolutley brilliant, and so handy. Great having Netflix on holiday and on the different devices, everybody has something to watch, and everyone happy.

We always watch less TV in the summer months, I guess we're all out and about a bit more. And so when we do come in to watch TV, I like it to be something proper rather than just channel surfing. Netflix allows us to do just htat. Kids get their shows and mum and dad get theirs. Great.

Switched off our regular TV service and now fully use only Netflix. It's got everything we need with shows for me and dh as well as for the kids. My ds showed me how to use it on the Playstation too ... who'd have thought it?!! Ha ha.
It's such a great value alternative to any of the other tv offerings, and there's plenty to keep us all entertained.

One of the biggest thing that me and DH really like about Netflix is that there are no ads. It's just so much nicer. and it doesn't look like the kids have really noticed at all - which is brilliant. no more shopping tirp meltdowns lol.
We've brought Netflix with us on holidays this summer and it's been q great thing to have. Keeps the kids entertained in the evenings just before bed. It's been so handy.

My and my dd have been watching Toy Story this summer, we have our routine, it's breakfast, a little play in the house, then out for a outdoors adventure (could be a simple and gardening or a walk to the shops, sometimes the park or even the zoo) and then when we come home, we snuggle on the soffa and we switch it on. She absolutely loves it. I really love the summer time when we can spend proper quality time together, and it means so much to both of us. And thank goodness for Netlfix, it's there every day at the touch of a button, and so cheap, sure where else would you get it?

Since I've been on maternity leave this summer I have enjoyed being with my darling daughter. It has simply been the best time. But ... it can be a bit of a lonely existence with everyone at work ... thank goodness I have Netflix to keep mamma sane!! I'm not saying DS thinks the theme tune to OITNB means feeding ... but. Ha ha lol
Seriously though, Netflix is so handy, lots of up to date interesting stuff to watch, all waiting for you for when you're ready, no recording box getting full, or two programmes clashing. And it's ridiculously cheap.

I've had Netflix for a long time now, but it's only recntly (since I've become a mum actually) that I've really seen the benefit of it, the kids love their shows and me and the other half are really enjoying all the latest box sets. It's so handy to have it to hand.

Netflix has been our saviour this summer, our family would have been lost without it. We signed up to Netflix earlier this year, it was more because we had heard so much about Orange is the New Black. Every evening we would watch an episode or two when the kids went to bed, but it soon became all we watched. When the kids got their summer holidays, they also started using Netflix more. They loved it because there is such a vast selection to choose from, and we loved it because we could manage what they could choose from - without them knowing. This year we holidayed in Ireland, and Netflix was brilliant as the kids could access our account on the odd rainy day we had. Netflix is brilliant and my family would definately be lost without it - so much choice, such good value and great options/settings. :-)

My kids love Netflix - so many great movies for them to choose from. Since the weather has taken a turn, the kids are inviting their friends over to watch films. It's brilliant because they can watch as many films as they want and their is no extra cost to us. It also brilliant because myself and my husband were allowed to set-up a "kids" log-in where we can choose what kind of films and shows they can watch. This is great - as we don't have to check on them as we know what they are watching will be suitable. I have recommended Netflix to friends and will continue to do so - great service. :)

Aren't Fiona and her family just beautiful - well done, so sweet. We've had Netflix for a while now and we wouldn't be without it. The kids watch it on their games console, while I watch it on TV (when it's free) or on the lap top. Very handy service, brilliant having everything there at the touch of a button. And ridiculously good value for money.

Would it be bad if I said I use Netflix as a babysitter? Well an assistant babysitter really, obviously I'm always there, but you know even the most efficient mum needs some time to make dinner, go to the loo, have a quiet moment sitting. Right?

Seriously though, Netflix has been great this summer, from the new OITNB to the old comedy faves that me and my hubby have been catching up on. Brilliant!

I love how quick and easy netflix is, if I turn it off on the wii I can go back to where I was later on the ipad, laptop or even on my phone. It has fun shows like pocoyo to keep my one year old entertained and movies we can watch together as a family. As a breastfeeding mum it's great to be able to pick up from where I left off on my favourite shows like Gossip Girl or Orange Is The New Black for every feed, as they can get very tedious and boring! I like being able to watch what I want, when I want with no ads or interruptions. To top it all off it's very affordable. I can't remember how I ever lived without it :)

These videos are just the cutest thing I've ever seen. I'm not sure our familiy is quite so harmonious LOL but I have to say we have totally enjoyed having Netflix this summer. We watch it on different devices (which I admit to using early on a saturday morning when I hand over the tablet to my two, in an effort to make them stay in their bedroom so we can get a lie in - I know, bad mum!! ha ha). Seriously though, having the different devices to watch, and having so much choice means we actually do have less rows. Mum and dad enjoy watching it too ... when we get the chance of course.
