With summer now in full swing, we understand that parents are looking for different ways to spend fun, quality time with the kids. Netflix has loads of great TV shows and movies that are perfect for entertaining the whole family, helping you make the most of your time together.

With terrific kids’ series like Horrid Henry, iCarly and Spongebob Squarepants, as well as brilliant family films such as Tangled, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Lilo & Stitch, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Netflix is available anywhere where there’s a Wi-Fi connection, and can be watched on numerous devices, including mobiles, tablets, smart TVs and games consoles. Visit our Netflix Kids page to see our top family picks, and read recommendations from other mums.

So, how are your family using Netflix this summer? Are your little ones winding down by watching their favourite show after a big day out? Are the grandparents and kids bonding over a shared love for Toy Story 3? Is Netflix providing some much-needed respite on a rainy day? What else has been keeping your children happy in the holidays? Whatever it is, we’d love to hear it.

We brought our ipad on holidays and I found it great for the kids for those moments when we wanted to buy a little time. Then we used it to watch a few box sets when the kids went down to sleep. Love that there are shows for them and us too.

Netflix is the only TV subscription we have in our house and we just love it. Bob and I love watching box sets in the evenings and it's great for kids to watch their favourite films. We would often check into our Netflix account when we are out and about on our iPhone and bookmark programmes we might like to watch. Watch our video below :-)

My little boy loves horrid henry - he's played it over and over again especially on those cold evenings that are creeping in.

We also brought Netflix on holidays with us - we went glamping but had wifi which meant we could watch Netflix at night to settle the kids down in their tents. We would then steal the ipad out of their sleeping hands and watch Gossip Girl (our guilty secret - sssshh). Not a word.

So I didn't get the whole Netflix thing - I didn't understand it nor did I think it would be appropriate for me and my family. But I was wrong. I took a leap of faith, signed up and can't believe I even hesitated. It's brilliant! We've created quite a few Netflix moments this summer - it's been fun and we have made a list of our next must watches.

We moved into a new house over the summer and Netflix has been our saviour. We've had no TV which isn't easy when you have young children and you need to buy a little time. The little ones have their favourite programmes and the bigger girls have a programme called H2O about mermaids which has gone down a treat. Mummy and daddy got to watch Breaking Bad (we are really behind the curve on that one) and we just LOVED it. Can't wait to see Saul when he gets his own show.

I've only just discovered Netflix - can't believe it was all there and I didn't know!

I love my Netflix, and I'm all about the new gadgets, but I have to say, once I had it on my internet enabled tv, I didn't really bother using any other device. Of course, that's not true for DH and the kids. DH has his PS (yes I know, he's still a big kid) and he'll set himself up on that to watch his nature shows (there's only so much nature one girl needs!!!) and the kids then have the console to use during the day. Everyone's happy. Great news.
This year we also got a tablet, and this has been our little life saver when we go to Granny's house of a Sunday or to visit friends. It's a great back up to have for when the kids just get tired of playing and everybody needs a little quiet time on the couch.

Netflix is brilliant and really quite versatile.

Our summer Netflix moment involves snuggle sofa time watching some of our favourite shows. It's that simple.

Here's our moment: lounge, heating on, duvet, pillows, popcorn, 2 little people, 2 big people and Toy Story. On repeat. Class.

My little family love Netflix - everyone has their own favourite device depending on where they are and indeed where we are. Sometimes it's a family movie on a Saturday night in the main living room, some times, it's the kids and their friends watch something in the den on the PS. And often if we go away it will be on the tablet.
Netflix is the perfect fit for our family, so versatile and great value too.

Hard to believe the summer is over - we've had such a lovely time with the kids being off school. But there are times when the day is long and everyone is tired. Our Netflix moments have generally been PJ moments after long days spent at our nearby beach.

I have only just signed up to Netflix after seeing this ... I never knew there was so much on, and I certainly never knew you could watch on so many devices (bit of a techo-phobe I'm afraid). I do wish we had it this summer, we did lots of travelling and this would have been a godsend with the kids. Anyway, have it now, will definitely put it to good ues. Flippin good value too - might even get rid of the other subscription I have.

Netflix offers great entertainment for all the family from the tiny tots right up to Grandma! Saoirse loves Lazy Town and Grandma likes the old classic movies. I watch programmes as & when I have some down time but have to be so careful not to watch series on a loop - episode after episode! I once stayed up til 4 am, forgetting totally about time and my 6am daily start! I love the variety available and I think the service is great value.
