Nearly 50 people were treated for injuries today after a school bus and a car crashed in Drumquin on the Omagh Road this morning.

Most of those involved sustained only minor injuries, according to a spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. He added that six people had “slightly more than minor injuries”.

“This would include children who banged their heads off the bus windows but no one went through any windows. The vast majority were checked as a precaution because of their age,” he said.

Three people were brought to hospital by emergency crews, while the rest of those involved in the crash were transported by bus Altnagelvin and South West acute Hospitals, accompanied by paramedics.
