Dedicated to bringing smiles to children all over Ireland, Folens continues its Christmas Annual Charity Campaign for the 12th year, donating Annuals to their charity partner, Children in Hospital Ireland. This organisation's dedicated volunteers visit children's hospitals and wards across the country to chat with sick children and provide a moment of playtime, helping to distract from illness or injury. This year, the annuals will be distributed to approximately 20 paediatric hospitals and units around the country.
Anna Gunning, CEO of Children in Hospital Ireland gave an enthusiastic welcome to the partnership with Folens in 2023 saying, “We know that children and young people who are in hospital really look forward to receiving these annuals each year.
Being in hospital at any time can be difficult but particularly around December and holiday time. The beautiful annuals from Folens provide some valuable distraction and entertainment for children and their families during what can be a long day in hospital.
These annuals will be distributed to approximately 20 paediatric hospitals and units all around Ireland to complement the volunteer led play service which is delivered by CIH Ireland.
