Galway girl Róisin Seoighe has won the PREDA song contest with a hauntingly beautiful song that highlights the plight of childhood poverty.

Freedom Song written and performed by the 16-year-old TY student from Scoil Chuimsitheach Chiaráin has been commended by the likes of Damien Dempsey, who was overcome with emotion listening to her voice, and it is not surprising.

Her song is full of emotion and honesty and is a true eye-opener about the scale of poverty affecting so many children.

Róisin's song is available for download on iTunes  and Amazon.
