Bacon, vegetable and turkey kebabs
Nothing is more colourful and enticing to eat than a kebab. They are also quick to make and make everyone in the family happy.
 

8 slices streaky bacon, cut in half

400g turkey breast steaks, cut into about 16 pieces

2 peppers, of mixed colours deseeded and cut into chunks

2 small red onions cut into 6 wedges

2 tbsp clear honey

2 tbsp grain mustard

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp chopped rosemary (optional)

Rice, to serve

Lemons wedges, to serve

Use 8 small skewers. If using wooden skewers, soak in water for about 20 minutes beforehand.

Wrap a piece of bacon around each piece of turkey.

Thread 2 pieces of bacon wrapped turkey onto each skewer, alternating with the vegetables.

Mix together the honey, mustard, oil and rosemary (if using).

Brush over each kebab.

Line a grill pan with foil and grill the kebabs for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until lightly charred and cooked through.

Serve with rice, plus some lemon wedges for squeezing.
