Brie and fig pie bites
Delicious pie bites which make for the perfect party canape.

1 can Jus-Rol Bake-It-Fresh Croissants

100g brie cheese, cut into bite size pieces

1 jar fig preserve

1 egg, beaten

1 splash of milk

Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4.

Unroll the can of Jus-Rol Bake-It-Fresh Croissants.

Using a 3-inch cookie cutter, cut out circles and place on a sheet of baking paper.

Place a couple of pieces of brie in the centre of three of the pastry circles. Spoon 1 teaspoon of fig preserve over this.

Using a sharp knife cut a small X in the middle of the other three pastry circles.

Place the X marked circles on top of the brie and fig preserve, to act as the lid.

Use your fingers to pinch around the edges to ensure they are sealed.

Use a fork to crimp around the edges.

Mix together the egg and milk to make egg wash.

Brush the egg wash over the pies.

Transfer to the preheated oven and bake for about 12 minutes or until golden.

Leave to cool on a wire rack before serving.
