Buns:

125g butter

125g self raising flour

125g caster sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1-2 tbsp milk

Icing:

Ready to roll icing

Black and red writing icing

Jellies

Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4

Place butter, flour, caster sugar and eggs in a large bowl and mix until well combined. 

Add in the vanilla and milk and mix a little to combine.   

Spoon into the 12 bun cases.

Cook for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.

Remove from oven and allow to cool fully on wire rack.

Create the eye by covering each bun with a circle of ready-to-roll white icing, a jelly ring and red writing icing for the pupil and bloodshot squiggles.
