Magical rainbow HB Hazelbrook Farm ice cream cakes
This is an incredibly fun cake for the children to enjoy and it is very easy to prepare.
2 x 900ml tubs HB Hazelbrook Farm vanilla ice cream
4 x food colours (such as blue, green, yellow, red)
Sprinkles (optional)
Line a 23cm spring-form tin with cling film, leaving an overhang all around the edges.
Remove one tub of ice cream from the freezer and allow soften for 5 minutes.
Take a half of one tub of ice cream and put it in a bowl. Add a few drops of your first colour mixing until you achieve the desired colour intensity.
Spread this first coloured ice cream as evenly as possible into the bottom of the prepared tin. Place into freezer while you prepare the second half of the ice cream with the next colour using the same method above.
Repeat this process with the second tub of ice cream, making sure the ice cream is placed back inside the freezer so it does not melt while you are working. Decorate with sprinkles if desired.
Place in the freezer for minimum four hours to completely freeze.
To remove the ice cream rainbow cake, open the spring-form tin and gently lift the cling film away from the cake.
