Sausage and noodle soup

This super filling soup would be great for dinner and can be made in under an hour.
960ml stock (chicken or vegetable)
1 tsp. dried basil
1 tin tomatoes
2 tbsp olive oil
5 pork sausages
1 onion, chopped into small dice
¼ clove garlic
140g dry noodles
Gently heat the chicken stock in a large pot. Pour in the tomatoes with juice before reducing the heat and allowing to simmer.
Pour the olive oil into a frying pan and gently cook the sausages on a medium heat for about 10 minutes or until brown. Once cooked, remove and add to the chicken stock.
In the same frying pan gently cook the onions and garlic for about 4 minutes or until soft. Spoon into the chicken stock. Allow to simmer for about 10 minutes.
Add the noodles and keep simmering for another 20 minutes or until they are soft.
Serve hot.
