School issues warning to parents following worrying encounter involving student

Schools in Bristol were contacted by Oasis Academy in Brislington following a worrying altercation which took place between a female pupil and an unidentified male on her journey to school last week.

According to reports, the schoolgirl, whose age has not been disclosed, was making her way along the Broadwalk in Knowle when a man who had been following her eventually accosted her,

The student at the centre of the worrying incident described the man who confronted her as well-built with blonde hair and a scar on his face.

Appealing to parents to remind their children of the various dangers associated with solo excursions, an email was circulated on September 17th which highlighted the gravity of the incident.

"As the nights become darker, please remind your child about being vigilant walking to and from school, choosing busy routes and preferably walking in pairs or small groups," it read.

Police officials have been made aware of the incident and are currently conducting an investigation,
