As mums, most of us are guilty of quickly scanning through our children’s school notes, trying to get the jist of things quickly.

And yes, we do tend to miss a few things, if we’re being honest, but sure the teacher will never know, right?! Wrong!

One teacher, who had an inkling that some parents were not reading notes, was Mr Clark, who took it upon himself to see which parents did.

As can be seen in a post uploaded to Imgur by an ex-pupil, Mr Clark slips a line into the syllabus telling parents to bring him tacos or “cash money” to Open House just to see  who had actually read the letter thoroughly.

However, while he actually thought they would miss the sneaky line, the teacher was pleasantly surprised when a load of tacos and, yes, even money was handed to him.

Ex-pupil Kara, who posted the photo to Imgur after Mr Clark shared a picture of a desk covered in tacos and money to his own private Facebook page, told the Metro that he was “always that funny teacher who did off the wall things to make class better.”

“Most people don’t read the syllabus, so in a way, this is a funny joke to see who actually follows directions."
