The family of a 15-year boy has appealed for information after he went missing yesterday morning.

Conor McAuley set out for Gaelcholáiste Reachrann from his home in Clarehall in Dublin on Wednesday morning, but never arrived at the school. The teenager hasn’t been seen since.

Conor’s uncle, Colm McAuley spoke to press today on behalf of the distraught family.

“He has never done anything like this before. It is totally out of character for him, he is a normal teenager and a good kid,” Colm said about his nephew.

“I just don’t understand it, nothing has changed and he’s not some sort of rebel, he’s just a good, ordinary kid.”

Conor’s terrified parents called the local Gardaí when he didn’t come home that evening, who are investigating his whereabouts.

“The Gardaí have put him on their system and they’ve been at the house a few times and been down to the school,” Colm explained.

“We just want him home. Just come home, everyone is so worried about him. Everyone loves him and we just want him to be okay.”

Gardaí have asked for anyone with information about Conor’s disappearance to contact them immediately.
