Professional photographs can be expensive so why not take them yourself? Here are some clever tips to ensure you get that perfect photo.
Take the pictures a week or two in advance
Dress your son or daughter up before the big day and take the pictures in advance. This will allow for a much more relaxed Communion or Confirmation day as you won't have to worry that your little angel will ruin their outfits before you get the perfect snap!
Go outside
Take your pictures in your garden, the grounds of a local hotel or in a park but make sure there isn't any distracting features in the background.
Use available light
Keep the flash pictures to a minimum as flash can flatten your pictures.
Capture your child's personality
Make sure your child's unique personality and character is captured in the pictures. Don’t be too concerned with having the pictures very formal, natural photos can be the most memorable.
Surprise your child!
Aim to take a few pictures from the side or from an angle when the children are unaware, the more natural the better.
