Two 10 year-old boys attempted to poison their teacher’s coffee with a “bleach-like substance,” it has been reported.
The incident happened at Clapham Terrace Community Primary School in Warwickshire.
The teacher, Emma Place (39) apparently had her back turned when the substance was poured into her flask. Thankfully, she was warned by another student before she drank it.
It has been said by the police dealing with the incident that the students did not realise the severity of what they had done.
Chairman of the school’s governors, Philip Robbins, has said that the school is hoping to move on from the unfortunate incident: “Emma dealt with it well. Of course the school is giving her support ... The school has dealt with the situation appropriately and we’re hoping to move on ... It was put in the hands of the police.”
