13-year-old boy has been arrested following school attack

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested in Barcelona following the death of a teacher at a school in the Spanish city.

According to police reports, the teenage boy entered the Joan Fuster school armed with a crossbow this morning and began shooting.

Several people were injured during the attack, which took place in the north of the city, before being evacuated from the premises by police and taken to a square outside the school building.

The teenage boy in question is currently being held by the Catalan Mossos d' Esquadra police force.

It has not yet been revealed whether the youth was a student at the school.
