This Easter, keep your toddler happy with these three fun and easy crafts.
With a few pots of paint, glue and paper, you and your little one will have an afternoon of arts and crafts and lots of giggles.
1. Bunny mask
You will need:
2 lollipop sticks
Sellotape
6 pipe cleaners
PVC glue
Cotton wool
Method
- Secure the 2 lollipop sticks together side-by-side using the sellotape.
- Fan the pipe cleaners out at the top of the sticks to look like whiskers – three on either side. Wrap around sticks to keep in place.
- Dab PVC glue on top of the pipe cleaners and press the cotton bud on. Cute!
2. Carrot foot
You will need:
Plain white paper
Orange paint
Green paper, cut into strips
PVC glue
Black marker
Method:
- Place the white sheet of paper on the ground and paint the sole of one of your child’s feet.
- Get them to stand on the white paper pressing down gently.
- Wipe their foot and leave the paper to dry.
- Once dry cut around the foot outline.
- Dab the PVC glue onto the back of the paper at the top. Gently press the green strips down onto the glue.
- Leave to dry.
- Use the black marker to draw a face on the ‘carrot’.
3. Easter flowers
You will need:
White A4 paper
Blue, pink, yellow and green poster paint
Purple ribbon
Sellotape
Method:
- Pour the blue, pink and yellow paint onto three different plates.
- Lay the paper on a flat surface.
- Get your child to dip their hand into the paint – a different colour at a time
- Press their hand palm down onto the paper.
- Do this with the tree colours.
- With the green paint, draw stems coming out of the hands so they look like flowers.
- Leave to dry before securing the ribbon at the end of the flowers with the sellotape.
