While the weather is always unpredictable, it’s best to make the most of the days when the sun finally decides to appear.
 
Mud sliding
Your child is going to end up in the mud anyway, so why not let them really embrace the dirt. Of course it goes without saying, make sure they're wearing their old clothes because no amount of washing can save an outfit that's been saturated in the mud.
 
Hula Hoops
You can buy them anywhere, they’re cheap, fun but also a great way for your child to get some much needed exercise.
 
Painting
Sometimes large canvases can simply be too messy for inside, but outside, your child is not limited and can go all out when it comes to their paintings. The outdoors is also a great source of inspiration for your pre-schooler too.
 
Bubbles
An outdoor activity that can be enjoyed by all ages. Your child will have endless hour of fun blowing bubbles into the sky.
 
Treasure Hunt
If you’re fortunate enough to have a big garden, then you have ample opportunity to create a treasure hunt for your child. Leave various clues around the garden and of course come with an interesting prize as an incentive. This is also a brilliant game for when your child decides to have some friends over.
 
Tree Climbing
Tree climbing is something that can’t be done unsupervised but there is no harm in letting your child climb up a small tree in your back garden. Make sure you test out the tree branches yourself though, before letting your child have a go.
 
Rock Painting
Rock painting can be another fun artistic activity for your child and can also give your tot a permanent souvenir of a fun day outside. You can also help bring their creations to life, by buying some googly eyes from the art store to add onto their stone work.
