American Apparel have hit the headlines once again for all of the wrong reasons.

The clothing company recently launched their back-to-school range and have been accused by customers of using “underage porn” to sell the campaign.

One photo in particular that caused shock amongst consumers was one of a girl bent over a car window in a very short school-style skirt. Although the image has now been removed from the company’s Instagram page, many other items that are equally as alarming, still exist on the website, including a top called ‘Lolita’ as a play on the novel and movie of the same name.

Many Twitter users voiced their displeasure at the inappropriate adverts with comments such as “dangerous misogyny” and “underage porn” being used to describe the campaign.
