Kathleen and the Communion Copter takes a light-hearted look at how one modern Irish girl and her family deal with the messy business of First Holy Communion.

Mum is determined to find a tasteful dress, but Kathleen is worried that this means 'boring' and that she'll be the plainest girl in Cork.

The little girl is feeling the pressure because one of her classmates is going to be arriving in a helicopter - she really needs the perfect dress.

Well-meaning grandparents, annoying little brothers and ill-informed best friends all play a part in Kathleen's mission, but in the end, she has to work out a solution all by herself.

Author Avril O'Reilly says: "This book is for anyone who is or has ever been involved in Communion dress shopping. As an auntie, I have so much sympathy for the mums who are out there trying to make their daughters happy and avoid 'dress-appointment'".

Kathleen and the Communion Copter is available on Amazon and from selected bookshops.
