Earlier this month we reported on the tragic drowning of Barry Ryan, Barry Davis Ryan and Niamh O’Connor in Baltimore, Co. Cork, and now there is more sad news emerging of another incident from Cork.

It has been reported that a four-year-old boy is currently fighting for his life after he was found unconscious in a swimming pool.

The youngster was pulled from the water after other swimmers realised that he was floating face down in the pool.

Emergency CPR was performed on the young boy before he was rushed to Cork University Hospital, where he now remains in a critical condition.

The incident, which happened in Youghal, Co. Cork, is being treated as a tragic accident, and it is believed that the family were there on a holiday.

Our thoughts are with the family at this truly awful time.
