October is Children’s Book Festival month and Children’s Books Ireland is inviting children nationwide to go wild for books!

The month long celebration of literature will see library doors thrown open to welcome national school children to explore the treasures that lie within.

Futa Fata publishing based in Galway is very excited to be taking part again in this year’s festival. Authors Patricia Forde, Bridget Bhreathnach, Ailbhe Nic Giolla Bhrighde and Tadhg Mac Dhonnagáin will tour Galway county. Young audiences are in for a treat as the authors bring with them their dragon hunting, cake baking, mischievous imaginary friends for what will surely be a wild time!

Don’t worry if you’re not in Galway because there are plenty other reading and illustration sessions happening all across the country!

Simply check in at your local library or visit the events page on www.childrensbooksireland.ie

To celebrate Children’s Book Festival, Futa Fata is delighted to team up with Mummy Pages to give away copies of our newest picture book titles Mise agus an Dragún (The Dragon Hunter) written by Patricia Forde and illustrated by Steve Simpson and Ní mise a rinne é! (It wasn’t me!) written by Bridget Bhreathnach and illustrated by Donough O’Malley.
