Exam time can be tough for the entire family, and not everyone is always happy with their results; some, however, choose extreme methods of dealing with their disappointment.

British dad Scott Craddock is reportedly suing the private school his son David attended, after the teen passed just one of his GCSE exams.

In an interview with local newspaper the Uttoxeter Advertiser, a disgruntled Scott explained his decision to sue Abbotsholme School.

Scott, who paid out £28,000 a year (around €32,500) for David’s education, reckons his son would have been better off attending a local comprehensive school instead.

“I sent David to Abbotsholme but, in my opinion, the school is not value for money in any way, shape or form,” he said.

The truck driver added: “David was disheartened when he got his results. He said, ‘You spent all that money on my education, and I walk away with one GCSE’.”

With the lawsuit now pending, the newspaper reports that David is set to re-sit a number of his GCSE exams. He is currently studying for a horticulture diploma at a local college.
