There is nothing quite as upsetting as losing your very first pet, and as this video shows, no matter how small that animal may be it still hurts.
Brooke Geherman uploaded a video of her young son Kowen saying goodbye to his pet fish, Top, last month.
The clip which has only gone viral now with over 500,000 views, starts off with the youngster kissing the fish before he flushes it down the toilet. While upsetting from the onset, it's at the end, when Kowen realises Top is never coming back, when we got a little choked up.
While holding a funeral for a deceased pet is one way to help kids deal with the loss, it was too much for this young boy.
